Social Season Collective ("we", "us", "our") is a small business based in Delta, BC, that makes custom printed apparel. We respect your privacy and handle your personal information in line with British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and other applicable Canadian privacy laws.
This policy explains what information we collect through our website, why we collect it, and how we protect it.
Information we collect
We only collect what we need to run our shop and fill your orders:
Contact details: your name, email address and phone number when you place an order, send an enquiry or contact us.
Order details: the items you order, sizes, quantities, custom design requests, deadlines and pickup or shipping information.
Artwork and files: any logos, images or designs you send us for printing.
Newsletter sign-ups: your name and email address if you choose to subscribe.
Website usage: basic, non-identifying information such as your browser type, device, pages visited and general location, collected automatically through cookies (see below).
We do not see or store your credit card details. Card payments are handled securely by our payment processor.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
Process, make and deliver your orders, including arranging local pickup
Reply to your questions and keep you updated on your order
Send newsletters and promotions, only if you've subscribed (you can unsubscribe anytime)
Understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it
Keep proper business and tax records
We will not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
Who we share it with
We only share your information with trusted services that help us run the business, and only as much as they need:
Squarespace, which hosts our website, online store, forms and newsletter
Our payment processor, which handles card payments securely. If you pay by Interac e-Transfer, your payment is handled through your bank and ours.
Shipping carriers such as Canada Post, if your order is shipped
We may also share information if required by law.
Some of these providers store information on servers outside of Canada, including in the United States. That information may then be subject to the laws of those countries.
Your artwork and designs
Files you send us are used only to complete your order. We won't share or reuse your designs without your permission. Please only send artwork you own or have permission to use.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies, small files saved by your browser, to make the site work properly (for example, to remember your shopping cart) and to show us basic visitor statistics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work properly without them.
Our website displays posts from our Instagram account. Instagram (Meta) may collect information when you view or interact with this content, under its own privacy policy.
Keeping your information safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, and our website uses secure (encrypted) connections. No online service is 100% secure, but we work to keep your information safe and only keep it as long as we need it. For example, order records are kept as long as Canadian tax rules require.
Your rights under BC privacy law, you can:
Ask to see the personal information we have about you
Ask us to correct information that is wrong
Withdraw your consent, for example by unsubscribing from emails, at any time
To make a request, email us at the address below. We'll respond within 30 days.
Children
Our website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us their information, please contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
